Residency Focus
As a research-creator completing my BFA in Electroacoustic Creative Practices at Concordia University, my work centers on hands-on studio research and live performance using large-format, historical modular systems, primarily Buchla and Serge integrated with my own tactile, gestural language.

Below is a summary of recent studio residencies alongside my framework for upcoming institutional collaborations.

Elektronmusikstudion EMS - Stockholm, Sweden Artist-in-Residence | June–July 2026

Focus: Entensive studio research focusing on large-format modular patch design, continuous gestural control, and quadraphonic spatialization. My efforts were centered on dynamic human-machine feedback loops using tactile controllers to drive multi-voice patches where composition, improvisation, and instrument behavior continuously negotiate form.

Process: Engaged in a structured workflow progressing from technical études to multi-channel spatial compositions, utilizing specialized control interfaces and multi-format integration. Microphone, hydrophone and electromagnetic field recordings were collected and processed using electronic and acoustic re-amplification techniques.

Outcomes: Developed new multi-channel composition materials, archival patch documentation, and performance studies for future development.

Ongoing Residency Focus & Ideal Format (~10-12 days)

Building on work completed at facilities like EMS, I seek short, focused residencies (~10–12 days) at academic institutions and independent centers offering access to large-format modular systems, historical hardware, and multichannel diffusion environments.

Access: Large-format Buchla / Serge / EMS (or closely related modular systems) and historically significant electronic musical instruments.

Method: A disciplined progression from low-level patching études to long-form constructions, paired with comprehensive archival documentation.

Outcomes: Multichannel composition, performance-ready gestural material, and detailed research notes suitable for institutional archives or publication.
